Hi, I’m Paul.
I spent 15 years in New York City, working inside Manhattan ad agencies producing campaigns across 23 cities for Patrón Tequila, and shooting global fashion from Berlin to Tokyo. My client list had names like L’Etoile Sport, Tiffany & Co., and AMAZON on it. I even produced major video campaigns for a state government, finding ways to make massive institutional stories deeply compelling. It was a really good run, and I loved every minute of it.
But during the 2020 drama, while everyone else flocked online, the digital noise finally did me in. The whole digital vibe started to feel a little too strange for me. I realized I was done making images destined to expire on a feed, so I packed up my New York editorial eye and moved on. I wasn't mad; I just wanted to build things that actually matter.
Today, I’m bringing that same ad agency/fashion photographer sensibility to high-end family documentary and children's portraiture. The most compelling stories aren't on a mood board anyway—they're right in front of us.
My goal is simple: make beautiful and really cool family photos. No cheesy studio tropes, no stiff poses, and no matching outfits. Just cinematic, honest imagery that is destined for prints only—crafted by hand on master-grade baryta paper in my own print lab. I don't care about Instagram at all. I've come to believe a photograph is a print only—like it was well before the smartphone. Let’s make some beautiful photographs - that you can hang or hold!
